Minister of Higher and Tertiary Education advised school children to take new curriculum seriously. He uttered this with a motive to ensure school kids get involved in creativity activities. In a direct translation the Minister wants students to have an entrepreneurship mindset and not wait only to be employed, but they should be able to create their own employment.
This advice was given by Prof. Amon Murwira a lecturer and chairman in the Department of Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Zimbabwe (UZIM).
He said it at the scholastic exhibition held at Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF).
Prof Murwira also said the education offered before independence was more colonial, it comprised the knowledge for being an employee instead of employer.
They had enough educational knowledge but could not create their own businesses.
